The Structure of PurposeFull People
These five components are the building blocks of PurposeFull People and are designed to be taught each week. Designed for flexibility, lessons can stand alone or be combined in a variety of ways. Educators can present all five lesson components in one 45-60 minute weekly lesson, deliver one component per day (10-20 minutes), or adjust lessons to meet scheduling needs.

Introduce and Apply Character Traits: 5-10 minutes. Activities and rituals designed to build deep understanding of each character trait, including sing-alongs, stories, quotes, and illustrations.Relationship-Building Games: 5-10 min. Fun, engaging activities that build relationships among students and embrace student choice, creating positive classroom culture.Life Skills Lesson: 20-30 minutes. These lessons are the heart of the content, centered around the grade level skill, overarching outcome, and character trait. Every week 1 lesson is trait focused while weeks 2-4 are explicit skill instruction.Emotion Regulation Strategies: 5-10 minutes. This can be used anytime to check in and respond to how students are feeling. Based on student responses, access to a menu of Mindful Moments, Brain Boosters, games, and reflection prompts.Reflection and Celebration: 5-10 minutes. Engage in community circles that focus on connection, reflection, storytelling, and celebration. Exit is designed to maintain end-of-day rituals and routines that strengthen a positive classroom culture.
