Students in alternative education settings require tailored support beyond traditional interventions. This session explores how to adapt the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to meet the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students in alternative programs. Participants will learn strategies for implementing Tier 1 universal supports, Tier 2 targeted interventions, and Tier 3 individualized supports aligned with trauma-informed and restorative practices. Through real-world examples and practical tools, attendees will leave with actionable strategies to strengthen MTSS implementation in alternative schools, credit recovery programs, and other non-traditional settings.
