  • Bullying Prevention: PurposeFull People is embedding bullying prevention content into our lessons! This proactive, integrated approach begins in Kindness Kickoff to start the year off right and includes additional lessons and touchpoints throughout the year. Expect lessons, videos, printable resources, staff training modules, and family resources!
  • Video Changes and Updates: We are continuing to expand our video library to boost engagement and we are adding 30 videos into our curriculum this August!
  • PurposeFull People Library: We have updated our PurposeFull Library to include 270 character-building titles! You’ll also find resources for boosting character development through literature.

 Middle School  &  High School

  • Bullying Prevention: CS will enhance the bullying prevention aspect of the curriculum through a comprehensive approach that integrates both lessons directly teaching anti-bullying content and skills into the scope and sequence, combined with core social-emotional learning skills. • Scope and Sequence Updates: To accommodate new bullying-focused sessions and some new sessions being introduced into the curriculum, the scope and sequence will be updated across all grade levels. The scope and sequence length and the three scope and sequence options at each grade level will continue. The scope and sequence and live sessions on the site will shift to the 2024-25 versions on July 19th.

(25 Session HS Scope and Sequence, 20 Session HS Scope and Sequence, 15 Session HS Scope and Sequence)

  • End and Extend: Based on feedback, research, teacher observation, and focus group feedback, we’ve identified a few structural changes to each session's High School Content section that you can anticipate for the 2024-25 school year. To improve timing and functionality the content portion will be shortened to 12 minutes from 16 minutes, in which we’ll focus on the main core aspects of the session objective. If time allows, we are adding an optional “extension”– a 6-minute “go deeper” activity that educators can select, allowing for further conversation and processing. These changes will allow for more accurate timing, enhance educator confidence that they can successfully get through sessions with fidelity, and improve student engagement. To get a visual of what this will look like watch this 10-minute video.
  • Video Changes and Updates: We are adding 28 new videos to our curriculum across the grade bands. We are also replacing older videos and much of our 9th and 10th-grade video series, while adding a video in Session 1 which will help introduce the purpose of the program.
  • New Additions to All Sessions: Several new features and updates are being added to all sessions including improved scaffolding and expanded prompts for our Relational Activities to help prevent students and staff from seeing repeated content. To further support educators who wish to pre-teach relevant vocabulary, an option to view relevant vocabulary before the session will be added to each slide deck. Many sessions have also received optional “printable supports” that can be printed and used to support students with multi-step instructions. Additionally, we will offer all new To Be Challenges for the 2024-25 school year.

Tier 2@300x
  • Releasing an early childhood small group curriculum titled Powered Up Kindness that aims to teach young children social skills (kindergarten). This was in response to feedback to improve the developmental appropriateness of our K-2 curricula. We will release 3 other early childhood curricula during the 2024-2025 academic year that are designed to be more developmentally appropriate and engaging for young children (coping powers to manage big feelings, coping powers to manage worry, power tools to stop and think).
  • Release of Tier 2 targeted supports to promote attendance. This will be called Check-Assess-Support and designed to address chronic absenteeism that is happening due to something with the student (e.g., avoiding school due to anxiety). This is a function-based support that identifies the reason why the student is absent from school and then informs a specific function-based support. During the 2024-2025 academic year, we will release a second targeted attendance support for families. This attendance support is designed for students whose chronic absenteeism is due to something happening with the family.
  • Enhanced training to promote school-wide commitment around Tier 2 as well as well as continuous improvement of Tier 2 through on demand pd style course that has specific chapters on each of the core topics to bring to life a Tier 2 system of support through use of CST2.
  • Improving progress monitoring and tracking of student response to the Tier 2 targeted support. CST2 will have enhanced data collection, automation of visualized data in a graph, and fidelity data to information data-based decision making.
