What is it?
A Leadership Curriculum that will transform your program and school
Written over the course of a decade in the classroom teaching 5 leadership classes a day, each 60-minute lesson is crafted to be engaging, intentional, & easy-to-use.
Used as a semester-long class or a year-long supplement to an activities program, the curriculum is designed to teach a framework for leadership and high-leverage skills to put a focus on PEOPLE and not just PROJECTS.
This curriculum is being used by 30 year veteran teachers and first-year leadership/student council advisors. It is guaranteed to infuse any program with renewed positivity and purpose (and make your job a whole lot easier!)
" If we only teach traditional academics to our kids, we are only providing them with half of what they need to be successful. Character can and should be taught in schools, noting grit, persistence, self-control, courage, and humor, are all critical life skills for successful employment, marriages, and citizenship. "
- Andrew Sokatch, Director of Research, Character Lab

" If we want our schools to be places where students and staff want to be, we must begin with the people in them. CharacterStrong does that. The CS curricula provides the plan, resources, training, and support to empower both students and staff to be more empathetic, thoughtful, kind and, in turn, more successful. This research-based program is intentional, practical, and powerful. With its Whole Child, whole school approach, CS has the potential to transform your school. The training is fun, the trainers are engaging and authentic, and the program is adaptable for a class, advisory, school, or school district. "
- Terry Hamm, Director, Texas Association of Student Councils
" I think it is extremely eye opening and as a previous student who took a leadership class from John but was not super involved in leadership after that semester I still saw the way these teachings affected the climate and culture at the school. And now in my own classroom and school especially as a new teacher I can see the way that the curriculum is starting to work it’s way into the children’s lives. I truly believe that keeping this going will positively impact our school and our district. "
