Who is CharacterStrong?
At CharacterStrong our purpose is to create a more loving world through education by equipping educators with the tools to support Whole Child Success. In order to bring this purpose to life, we provide digital Pre-K through 12th-grade SEL (Social Emotional Learning) and Character Education Curricula with engaging multi-tiered curricula. Our resources and Professional Development empower educators and foster effective school leadership focused on the Whole Child.
We deliver multi-tiered solutions because we recognize that students have different levels and types of needs. Tier 1 is the foundational experience that all students need to access daily and consistently. That’s why we have Tier 1 solutions, including SEL and Character Education curriculum, Leadership curriculum, school culture training, and low-burden, high-impact practices.
We also provide CharacterStrong Tier 2, a comprehensive solution that provides educators with the practical tools, professional learning, and a menu of interventions they need to be successful with a Tier 2 system of support, all in one easy-to-access place.
Additionally, we are conceptualizing CharacterStrong Tier 3, a solution to equip educators with the professional development and resources to deliver cognitive behavior therapy for students with mental health needs and support to implement high-quality function-based behavior intervention plans for students with behavioral needs as an intervention before special education services.
What Curricula Does CharacterStrong Offer?
PurposeFull People - Elementary Curricula (Pre-K through 5th Grade)
This researched-based curriculum is fully accessible online and includes implementation plans, relevant resources and activities, and so much more! All student and family materials are available in both English and Spanish.
- Explicit, direct instruction of social-emotional competencies (social skills, emotion regulation skills, and executive functioning skills)
- Generalization practices that support students to apply skills and character traits beyond the lessons
- Content aligned with CASEL competencies and vertically aligned from PreK through 5th grade

Middle School Curricula
(6th through 8th Grade)
A curriculum that's built by educators, for educators. This is researched-back and vertically-aligned with 6th through 8th grade curriculum. All student and family materials are available in both English and Spanish.

- Relational activities that build classroom community and connection between students
- Numerous opportunities for students to engage with and respond to instruction
- Interspersing of student voice and choice to empower students to have a sense of agency and ownership over their learning
High School Curricula

CharacterStrong Tier 2 is more than just a curriculum, it is a comprehensive solution that provides educators with the practical tools and training they need to be successful with Tier 2, all in one easy-to-access place.
- A 5-step problem-solving process that helps organize Tier 2 programming from beginning to end
- Rubrics, agendas and resources to guide an effective and efficient teaming process
- CST2 Precision Tool that is used to identify the root cause that explains why a student’s need exists and then select the most precise and effective intervention from a menu
- Small group skill-building curriculum available for 4 different grade bands that can be tailored to specific skill acquisition needs (emotion regulation & coping, relationship & social skills, and executive functioning & self-management skills)
- Performance-based interventions that encourage, motivate, and supports students to consistently apply the knowledge, behaviors, and skills they already possess
- Embedded professional learning through how-to modules, monthly live training, and quarterly deep dive trainings
